Last week Arden School came down to Westminster.
They started off the day with a tour of Parliament, followed by a number of activities facilitated by Parliament’s Education Centre. A state of the art interactive facility right next to the Parliamentary Estate. Designed to allow students to have an interactive, hands on experience when visiting Parliament.
The day ended with a Q&A session with myself, where Saqib fielded a number of questions ranging from my role as a Member of Parliament to how we handle political issues of the day, such as Brexit or Britain’s role internationally.
Saqib commented, "I was even flagged down by a group of students while walking back from an interview with the press. It’s the first time I’ve been asked to take a selfie outside of Parliament!
Thank you to the Parliamentary Education team staff and tour guides for making their day enjoyable. I hope they enjoyed the trip!"
