Fantastic to see Team UK flying off to the Invictus Games in Canada from Birmingham Airport on Friday.
The team comprises of 62 competitors, all of whom have experienced significant life challenges through their military services.
The Invictus Games is an international multi-sport event first held in 2014, for wounded, injured and sick military service personnel, both serving and veterans. The word 'Invictus' is Latin for 'unconquered', chosen as an embodiment of the fighting spirit of the wounded, injured and sick service personnel and what they can achieve, post-injury.
Saqib wishes the team the best of luck. It is a delight to see these dedicated men and women having the opportunity to represent their country again, when they have already scarified so much for it.
