Yesterday Balsall Common Primary School came down to the Palace of Westminster for a visit.
The pupils were able to have a tour of the Palace, being able to see the amazing sights Westminster has to offer. They heard about the history of Parliament and all the events that have happened in and around it, they even got to go into the House of Lords chamber!
Commenting Saqib said, "Afterwards I met with the pupils and teachers to hold a Q&A session, where I was quizzed about the role of an MP, what I get up to day to day and to discuss what interests them about Parliament.
It is always a pleasure to be able to speak with pupils from across Meridan and Solihull East, as while they might not yet be old enough vote, it is their future that is dictated each day by the decisions made by people inside of Westminster.
Thank you to the wonderful House of Commons tour guides for making their day so memorable. I am glad they enjoyed the trip!"
