Saqib backs Balsall Common residents' petition

I know local residents in Balsall Common and neighbouring villages are massively concerned about the impact of lorry routes running through the village causing disruption and pollution. A thank you goes out to local campaigner Andy Ogilve for spearheading the petition on this issue and getting local voices heard. 
 
I share residents’ concerns on this issue and that is why I have written to Solihull Planning as well as HS2 regarding the alternative continuous trace line hail route which could be used to mitigate the impact for local residents and alleviate traffic on our local roads.

Andy Street and I are hosting a public meeting along with local councillors Tony Dicicco, Diane Howell and Ken Allsopp to hear residents’ concerns. We have also invited HS2 so local residents can raise concerns directly with them.
