Saqib Bhatti, MP for Meriden, has written to Her Majesty The Queen to express his gratitude for Her Majesty’s 70 years of service. In the letter, Saqib not only thanked the Queen for dedicating her life to serving the United Kingdom, but also touched upon her commitment to the Commonwealth.
Saqib also gave Her Majesty a flavour of all the Platinum Jubilee events that took place in the Meriden constituency, paying tribute to all the local people who organised and attended the events.
Commenting on the celebrations:
“I had the pleasure of attending many events across my constituency on the Platinum Jubilee weekend. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who was involved in organising these events and for inviting me to come along.
“I had a fantastic weekend, and I am thrilled that we could all get together and pay tribute to The Queen for her tireless service to us and the nation.
“I am incredibly proud of the way our community showed our appreciation for Her Majesty.”
