Save Solihull Police Station & get more police on our streets

I have steadfastly stood by my pledge to protect Solihull Police Station from closure and remain committed to preserving the safety and security of our community. Despite facing challenges from a determined West Midlands Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) who seeks its shutdown, I have tirelessly championed this cause both in Westminster and on the local front, consistently raising this critical issue with Ministers and directly with the PCC. Additionally, I am also campaigning for the re-opening to the public of Chelmsley Wood Police Station

Ensuring access to local policing services is paramount, but we must also emphasise the significance of having a visible police presence on our streets to maintain our collective safety. The Conservative Party's national manifesto made an unwavering commitment to the recruitment of 20,000 new police officers nationwide, and I am proud to state that this promise has been fulfilled. Here in the West Midlands, 2,188 new police officers have been recruited, many of whom now serve in the Solihull Borough, bolstering our law enforcement capabilities and reinforcing our commitment to the protection of our community. In addition, there are now more Police Officers as a result of the Home Office’s Police Uplift recruitment in Solihull than in 2010.

I remain resolute in my dedication to safeguarding Solihull Police Station, preserving our access to essential policing services, and bolstering our local law enforcement.
