This morning, alongside his colleagues in the Shadow Ministerial team for Culture, Media and Sport, Saqib held a roundtable discussion with the leaders of the UK tourism sector.
Saqib commented "It was interesting to hear different perspectives about the issues the UK tourism sector is currently facing and how we as an Opposition can best support them.
It is vital was support venues, such as the National Exhibition Centre here in Meriden and Solihull East and that is one of the many reasons have been a proud champion of this sector for many years and will continue to be.
I am a firm believer that the United Kingdom is a world leader in culture, with tourism being a substantial contributor to the UKs economic growth. We must as the oppositon do our best to support this sector and give it the resources it needs to succeed.
I am proud to serve as the Shadow Minister of State for Culture, Media and Sport and I will continue to champion the growth of this vital sector."
