Thank you to the thousands of residents who have signed the petition to restore Emergency Department (ED) services to Solihull.
Following our letter to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst MP and Saqib have received a response from the Health Minister regarding an ED in Solihull. Regrettably, the Government would not commit to an ED for Solihull, we are now making a case for Solihull to be part of a £3.1bn funding increase, to help support such a service.
The campaign will continue, and in February they are due to meet the Integrated Care Board (ICB) where we will continue to make our case for an ED at Solihull Hospital.
