Saqib has called for greater healthcare infrastructure and the restoration of A&E services to the Solihull Borough during the Department of Health and Social Care's oral parliamentary questions.
He noted that there are already 220,000 people residing in the Solihull borough and that the government's planning reforms will see those numbers increase sharply over a short amount of time. Saqib argued that the necessary health infrastructure must be put in place to serve ever-growing community needs.
This question follows Saqib's joint letter with Dr Neil Shastri-Hurst, MP of Solihull West and Shirley to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care, asking for his support in restoring A&E services to the locality. Saqib reiterated their request for support and asked that the Secretary of State meet with Neil and himself to discuss how the Budget can support the people of the Solihull borough.
