Earlier today Saqib went to the Radiotherapy UK drop in to hear about the cutting edge work the charity is doing, working with patients and survivors to help further the cause of Radiotherapy as a treatment for Cancer.
Saqib commented "By 2040 there is an expected 30% increase in cancer diagnoses. Our health services must be fully prepared to deliver a high-quality standard of care to each and every cancer patient – this means that we need to invest in treatment capacity, technology and the workforce.
Research from Radiotherapy UK shows that investments in modern radiotherapy treatment can provide over 87,500 new appointments each year.
I also had the opportunity to speaking to Manchester United hero Brain Robson about the experiences he faced undergoing Radiotherapy and the steps he has taken to help further awareness on this treatment."
